Project
Overview
The National Gallery of Ireland, The National Gallery, London and the Museo Sorolla in Madrid, joined together to host an exhibition of works by Spanish artist Joaquín Sorolla (1863–1923) – ‘Master of Light’.
The Solutions
Our first challenge was to win the hotly contested tender, for the biggest exhibition of its kind ever to be held in Ireland. The design scheme we created maximised the the majesty of the paintings, with typography and colouring in sympathy with the artists’ distinctive colourings. While being in keeping with the paintings, each piece of collateral had to fulfil its own purpose, communicating clearly with visitors passing through the exhibition and raising interest and anticipation among the public at large
