Sustainability
Open Design & Digital is committed to a sustainable approach to working across all levels possible. We aim to only work with suppliers that are committed to being compliant with applicable national, EU or international environmental law. As an example, our printers of choice use chemical-free plates and vegetable-based inks, electric cars and solar panels. If we are aware of reports suggesting a company has not complied with regulations, then we can request proof from the supplier and may exclude them if they cannot demonstrate suitability.
Our Green Location at the GEC
The Open Design & Digital offices are located at Guinness Enterprise Centre, which is leading an action to deliver a Circular Economy Hub, under Strategic Objective 4 of the Dublin Regional Enterprise Plan – 2024. This sets out to enable and position businesses as leaders in Dublin’s low carbon transition, including:
- Supporting Enterprise Hub Provision in Dublin – Review and support the development of enterprise hub provision in Dublin.
- Clustering for SMEs – Develop a strategy to enable and cultivate the formation of sectoral clusters.
The Guinness Enterprise Centre is honoured to announce its partnership with Techies Go Green and build out the sustainability cluster. Eamon Ryan T.D., Minister for the Environment and Climate, launched the new cluster at the Guinness Enterprise Centre on February 24th, 2023.

We support all ‘green’ initiatives and we believe that we can have a significant role to play in raising awareness of green alternatives while helping our customers to achieve their own green policies. Our green policy is to constantly seek ways in which we can improve our environmental credentials. Our green strategy is aligned with our environmental policy and building codes of practice and environmental protection.
