Working alongside JDDG (John Duffy Design Group) and Alanis Capital, Open was tasked with creating a vibrant, attractive brand mark that would complement the retail park’s new-look surroundings and car park, giving the facility more stand-out in what has become a competitive retail area. A key aspect of this was wayfinding and directional signage, which have a huge impact on the shopper’s experience.
We realised that drivers entering the car park were not immediately aware of the underground option. By creating a clear system of signage we would be able to channel traffic to the 440 spaces available underground, which were not being used to capacity. We achieved this through big, bold, direct, tasteful and friendly signage, guiding stressed shoppers toward easier parking.
