Overview
Clare Island Whiskey, aged at sea on Clare Island in Co. Mayo, offers a unique experience deeply rooted in the island’s rich history. As the brand entered its third release, the new website needed to reflect the Clare Island Whiskey brand and vividly tell its story. Key design challenges included integrating this narrative while providing a seamless user experience. The site needed to showcase tours, enable online bookings, and support an optimised customer journey for purchasing whiskey and booking accommodation.

The website prominently featured Clare Island Whiskey’s compelling narrative, with strong brand interpretation and storytelling throughout. The design integrated the island’s history and the unique aging process, using engaging visuals, animations, and interactive elements to bring the story to life. The homepage featured dynamic animations that captured the essence of the sea, reinforcing the whiskey’s connection to its maritime environment.
A seamless user journey was a critical focus of the project. The site was designed to be clean, accessible, and easily navigable, with a particular emphasis on mobile-friendliness. Users could effortlessly explore the brand’s story, book tours, and purchase products online. The online shop was streamlined for optimal conversion, ensuring that the balance between design and functionality was maintained throughout the site.
